TRY NOW FAQ

How does your 7-day free trial program work?

Your 7-day trial begins when your items are delivered. We’ll put a hold on your card - which does set aside those funds - but you won’t be charged. Don’t love it? Don’t worry, you won’t be charged. Send it back to us with free returns. From there, we’ll release the hold on your account.

How does the hold on my card work?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Your card is entered in TryNow’s verified checkout.
  2. The issuing bank puts a hold - which sets aside those funds - for the full amount of your order.
    1. Note that some issuing banks take 24+ hours to release holds, in which case you may see two pending holds on your card for a short period of time.
  3. If your items don't work out, you can send them back to us. Once we receive and process the return, your hold will be released.
  4. If you decide to keep your items, you will be charged at the end of the trial period, and your hold will be released.

What is a hold?

Holds (also known as authorizations) are the most common and secure way to ensure both the merchant and customer settles a transaction.
All transactions start with an authorization hold on your card - that includes your favorite dinner spot, workout class, every merchant you use.
In this case, the hold is used to confirm that there are enough funds in your account to pay at the end of the 7-day trial. While you cannot use the funds that are being held, that money has not been transferred and is not taken out of your account.
If you decide not to keep your items, you can send them back, and the hold on your card will simply be released.

What does a hold look like on my bank account?

Each bank displays a hold differently.
If you use a debit card, your issuing bank will prevent you from using or transferring those funds. If you use a credit card, your issuing bank will decrease the amount of credit available.
Note that some issuing banks take 24+ hours to release holds, in which case you may see two pending holds on your card for a short period of time.

Is there a difference between a hold on a  debit card and credit card?

If you use a debit card, your issuing bank will prevent you from using or transferring those funds. If you use a credit card, your issuing bank will decrease the amount of credit available.

Why do I see 2 holds on my bank account?

In order to guarantee that Glamnetic receives the funds, the hold is renewed every 5 days for the duration of the trial period. Note that some issuing banks take 24+ hours to release holds, in which case you may see two pending holds on your card for a short period of time.
