Simple DIY Body Scrubs— Razor Bumps Be Gone!

There are few things worse than razor bumps and ingrown hairs getting in the way of your happiness this summer. You deserve nothing but good vibes, warm weather, and smooth skin— especially after all we’ve been through in the last yearA good place to start is self-care in the form of a lovely DIY body scrub. Let’s be real, we’ve all tried expensive aftershave treatments that are usually difficult to keep up with. So, why not get a little creative?

Here are 2 awesome DIY body scrubs recipes that will show those razor bumps who’s boss:

Lemony Sugar Scrub
 1/4 cup of sugar
♡ 1/2 cup of baby oil (or your favorite natural oil that’s safe for the skin)
♡ 3 tablespoons of citrus juice (lemon or lime)

Mix it all together in a clean jar and voila! There’s a nice and fresh body scrub. Citrus has fantastic anti-bacterial properties, but it can be harsh on sensitive skin. Consider adding less or using 20 drops of lemon essential oil instead if you think the citrus will be a problem.

Baking Soda Scrub
♡ 3/4 of baking soda
♡ 1/4 of water
♡ A few drops of essential oil (lavender, peppermint or whatever you like) 

Using baking soda to treat razor bumps might seem a little weird, but it’s definitely a winning formula. The best time to use a baking soda scrub is just before you hop into the shower. Lather it on and gently rub your skin. You’ll feel the little baking soda granules doing amazing things for your skin. Once the scrub dries out, hop into the shower to rinse it off.
